Crossroads with our friends from African Surfer sharing a festive afternoon within the walls of Paris.
La butte au cailles salad chez Gladines filled with goodness, as you can well see!! They were even lucky enough to obtain an African Surfer sticker. These people are really going places...
La Grande Mosquée de Paris was the chosen location for a tea. And what a good choice it was; seated underneath fig trees in an open courtyard buzzing with birds (thankfully not parisian pigeons) and butterflies. Bliss.
The walking continued with a little detour to Notre Dame especially for Tourist Lurks (and co). Considering that we were in the neighbourhood, a visit to Shakespeare and Co. was definately in order.
One of the common goals of the day was to find free wifi. Thankfully, Pompidou Museum was the kind and generous donour. So, for an hour or so we sat admiring the enormous modern construction towering over us, and watching the sometimes strange people going by.
What is funny about sitting in such a large square is that guarenteed, there is at least ONE "interesting" person around. Our I.P was 'laptop lady'. There she was walking with a laptop hitched onto her back. Later, we discovered that in fact, she wanted people to write their regrets on the computer. In return, they would be able to read four regrets of four other people in their city. Got it? Incase not, here is their site.
