arriving in montreux was quite something. there are cast iron statues of all the famous jazz, and other, singers that have graced this city with their presence. we stayed in an obviously quite elite hotel (back in the day) overlooking the lake. it was incredible, watching the change in weather sweeping passed us, the party parts embarking and disembarking and of course, one cannot forget the soekie-soekie dancing going on nearby. quite a sight, needless to say.
we dined in a deliciously mmm italian restaurant, eating fagottini filled with shavings of black truffles, cappacio and montreux red wine. a fabulous night was had by all -
